Kalbarri is a family-run cookery school and catering business operating from Kilcullen in Co. Kildare. With an emphasis on wholesome family cooking from the freshest ingredients, Siobhan Murphy and her culinary team provide a range of cookery services including; cookery classes, event catering and offers you the opportunity to host your own group of family and friends for a dining experience to remember at Kalbarri’s Lantern Room.
With a realistic approach to cooking, our style is enjoyable and fulfilling, while still looking and tasting amazing. Using uncomplicated recipes all devised in-house, we keep food as natural as possible and this is what makes us different, and why people come back to us - we love real food.

Cookery School
Our cookery school welcomes people of all ages and abilities looking to build confidence or improve their knowledge of food. We want our guests to experience creating and serving simple dishes with gripping middle-eastern influences, bursting with flavour and colour. We run classes for children from primary to secondary school, instilling a solid foundation in the basics of baking and cooking. Our adult classes are specifically tailored to get the most out of each group, whether that be; regaining confidence in the kitchen, practising for a dinner party or simply trying out some new recipes. The baking courses at Kalbarri are often attended by mothers and daughters, cousins and friends, encouraging each other and sharing stories around the table. The warm and inviting atmosphere in our kitchen helps bring our guests together over a love of all things food. Our work table is designed in a circle, unique to Kalbarri, enhancing group involvement.

Catering
At Kalbarri, we offer a full range of professional catering services for all events and occasions. People turn to food to mark important events and we help to make that event more memorable with unique, imaginative dishes and decadent desserts. Whether in your home or on-location, our unobtrusive, highly experienced team are on hand to remove any stress or hassle, catering for your guests, providing crockery and leaving your kitchen just the way you would like to find it. Our Menus are designed to incorporate only the best quality, seasonal ingredients coupled with perfectly balanced flavour and stylish presentation. Dine with us
When you sit down to eat at Kalbarri, it gives you a home from home experience with our communal dining reinforcing a cosy, sharing, family atmosphere. We welcome group bookings from 12 to 35 guests to our Lantern Room for an evening of culinary delights or to our newest space, The Garden Room for eight to sixteen guests. This room comes complete with a personal chef and waitress for the evening. Whatever the occasion, our country home provides the perfect backdrop for a unique dining experience so you can enjoy good food with good company. Get in touch to enquire about your group booking.

Kalbarri is the ultimate relaxed destination for a unique experience like no other. Kalbarri School and grounds, with its own walkway, are yours to enjoy for the day, allowing for a heavenly breakfast on arrival in “Earth“ followed by a morning of fun in the Cookery school, with some breakout activities of your choice. Rounding up with a celebration of inspirational dishes bursting with colour flavour and freshness, which is synonymous with Kalbarri, all to be enjoyed together in the Lantern room by the fireside.

The fourth edition of this communal dining experience at Kalbarri. Bringing people together around the table in a comfortable and casual setting.
There will be a set menu which is confirmed just before the evening, but you can expect homemade breads, a muti-coursed meal using seasonal ingredients sourced locally and lovely company.
